Description

SC Staffing & Consulting’s client is seeking a Senior HR Professional to lead and strategize efforts for talent management, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, and special programs. This role partners with local leaders on talent management, performance management, talent acquisition, policy development and enforcement, benefits and compensation, training, community support activities, conducting internal investigations, counseling and problem-solving employee issues, legal compliance with all state and federal employment laws, and overall adherence to policies and procedures. The role functions as the subject matter expert on HR principles and supports/partners multiple client groups in employee relations, recruitment, employee development and training, benefits administration, etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, plan, and implement human resource programs, policies, and procedures in partnership with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Total Rewards COEs.
  • Serve as a partner to the site leader and local management team and provide daily client group support.
  • Lead processes to recruit, promote and retain talent within salaried and hourly workforce
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition COE for recruitment, interview and selection of exempt candidates and manages the onboarding process.
  • Manage job posting, recruitment, interviewing, selection, dispositioning, hiring and onboarding processes for all non-exempt, co-op, intern and temporary positions.
  • Generate offer letters, collect, and verify required paperwork for onboarding.
  • Lead talent management processes including the Performance Appraisal process and the non-exempt performance appraisal/merit planning process.
  • Manage local training and development logistics and teach HR content.
  • Organize diversity and inclusion (D&I), employee involvement and community involvement activities, and recognition programs.
  • Conduct investigations and provide support to managers for counseling and resolution.
  • Serve as HR first point of contact for employee questions and issues, such as leave of absence, benefits and other general inquires.
  • Support annual open enrollment and administration of employee benefit plans.
  • Wage and salary administration.
  • Monitor and maintain affirmative action plan, hiring practices and policies for compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with employment-related laws and records retention guidelines.
Key Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Labor Relations, Human Resources or a related field
  • Demonstrated implementation and advanced knowledge of federal and state regulations, including COBRA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, OSHA and Workers’ Compensation
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in progressive HR responsibility including site responsibility and HR Business partnership across various functions and executives
  • Minimum 2 years of HR people leadership
  • Minimum 1 year HR experience in Manufacturing/Distribution environment required
  • Demonstrated implementation and advanced knowledge of federal and state regulations, including COBRA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, OSHA and Workers’ Compensation
  • Understanding of benefit plans, including 401k plans, to include legal compliance and reporting requirements
  • Experience in regulated industry required
