Financial Reporting Implementation Professional – Remote
Description

SC Staffing & Consulting’s client is seeking a Financial Reporting Implementation Professional responsible for the oversight and processes associated with the implementation of clients on a CPU financial reporting system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper plan and rule parameters are set-up according to client direction, oversee data migration from multiple systems, and work with the client to ensure data is reconciled.
  • Interface with clients and/or their respective designees (auditors), internal processing teams, and Relationship Management counterparts.
  • Ensure communication of any issues and management of said issues to conclusion.
  • Gather all necessary information from clients regarding rules and parameters as it applies to the accounting aspects of the company’s equity compensation plans. These rules are governed by the accounting standards of ASC718 and IFRS2.
  • Communicate with the Client, Product Managers, and management team to ensure status and issues are understood.
  • Use business and industry knowledge to identify any potential issues with the implementation process and suggest/implement changes that make the process more efficient.
  • Perform proper level of reconciliation with the client and providing region of source data.  Work with client to reconcile financial information to ensure proper transition to CPU system as system of record.
  • Work with Client Management team to ensure proper timing of billing based on implementation and client sign-off.
  • Evaluate and recommend new functionality or enhancements for existing clients or based on trends seen during the implementation process.
  • Formulate DOPs and training documentation to support the implementation process.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and or combination of experience.
  • 4 to 6 years’ experience in financial reporting or equity compensation services
  • CPA or CEP, preferred.
  • Experience with mainframe and distributed recordkeeping systems, desired.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial reporting industry and/or accounting standards.
  • Knowledge of business concepts and requirements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business principles, processes, and techniques.
  • Ability to develop and prepare business analyses and plans.
  • Knowledge of the principles of strategic business decision-making.
  • Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports.
  • Skill in the use of spreadsheet, relational database, and word processing software.
  • Project management experience.
